Moving an Events Rule Between Compartments

Move a rule to a different compartment.

See Managing Compartments for information about compartments and access control.

1. Open the navigation menu and click Observability & Management. Under Events Service, click Rules.
2. Select the Compartment from the list.
  
  All events rules in that compartment are listed in tabular form.
3. Select the events rule you want to move to a different compartment.
  
  The Rules dialog box appears
4. Click Move Resource.
  
  Alternatively, click the Actions menu () for the events rule you want to move and click Move Resource.
  
  The Move resource dialog box appears.
5. Select the compartment to which you want to move your web application acceleration policy from the Destination compartment list.
6. Click Move resource.
The events rule you moved is now accessible from the new compartment.
Use the oci events rule change-compartment command and required parameters to move an events rule between compartments
oci events rule change-compartment rule-id rule_ocid --compartment-id compartment_ocid [OPTIONS]
