Updating Vault from a Backup
Update a vault from a back up using the OCI Console interface.
Using the Console
- Open the navigation menu, select Identity & Security, and then select Vault.
- Under List Scope, in the Compartment list, click the name of the compartment that contains the vault that you want to update from a backup.
- From the list of vaults in the compartment, click the name of the vault.
- On the Vault Details page, click Update Vault from Backup.

Choose a source. You can import a backup from an Existing Object Storage Bucket that you have access to or a pre-authenticated Object Storage URL. You can also Upload a File from your computer or a mapped network location.

Do one of the following, depending on what you chose in the previous step:
- Choose a bucket from the dropdown menu. If needed, you can change the compartment to find a bucket in a different compartment. Then, specify the Backup Name. Avoid entering confidential information.
- Click Object Storage URL, and then provide a pre-authenticated URL. Include the backup name.
- In Choose a file, drag and drop a file or, to browse for a file, click select one.
- When you are finished, click Update Vault.
