Consumer Billing for Paid Listing and Private Offers on Marketplace

Oracle Cloud Marketplace bills and collects on behalf of the partners.

After a partner publishes a listing, the listing is assigned a listing ID, listing name, Child Product Number (SKU), and a meter to capture the consumer's usage. Additionally, the listing is assigned a price, currencies, and Unit of Measure (UOM). For example, OCPU per hour, PR per hour, and EA that the consumer can use UCC to draw down and PAYG customers are billed for usage. Consumers with an active UCC subscription can draw down on a third-party paid listing. Upon the launch of a listing by the consumer, the meter starts to track consumer's use of the software.

Consumer's UCC usage draw downs on the marketplace are tracked and reported daily. Marketplace determines the consumer's usage spend by calculating usage multiple by the currency price that the consumer has drawn. See Finding Billing and Usage Details for an OCI Account for billing information on private offers.
