Importing Standard Tags

Import standard tags using the Console, CLI, or API.

• 1. Open the navigation menu and click Governance & Administration. Under Tenancy Management, click Tag Namespaces.
     A list of the tag namespaces in your current compartment is displayed.
  2. Select the root compartment from the Compartment list.
     A list of the tag namespaces in your root compartment is displayed.
  3. On the Tag Namespaces page, click Import Standard Tags.

     On the Import Standard Tags panel, you can expand the standard tag namespace to view the tag definitions present in that template.

  4. Select the namespaces that you want to import and click Import. You can import up to five namespaces at a time.
     A work request is created and you can monitor the status of import on the Work Request page.
     Note
     
     You can reimport a tag namespace to get the new and updated tag definitions. However, even if a tag definition or the tag namespace is removed from the template, it remains in the tenancy while reimporting the tag namespace.

• Use the import-standard-tags command and required parameters to import standard tags:

  oci iam tag import-standard-tags [OPTIONS]
