Editing a Capacity Request

Edit a capacity request that you have created in Control Center.

Note

You can edit a capacity request only when it's in the Created or Submitted state. For description of the OCC states, see Managing Capacity Requests.
    1. Open the navigation menu, click Governance and Administration, and then click Control Center.
    2. Click Capacity Requests.
    3. On the Capacity requests page, click the name of the capacity request for which you want to edit the details.
      On the Request details page, under Capacity handover details, you can edit the following details of the capacity request:
      • Remove a request for a resource:
        1. Click the Actions list across the resource name that you want to remove.
        2. Click Remove.
      • Add a new resource in the request:
        1. Click Add new resource.
        2. On the Add new resource page, under Demand quantity, provide the number of resources to be added in the request for each resource name.
        3. Click Add resource.
      • Edit demand quantity of resources in the request:
        1. Click Edit demand quantity.
        2. On the Edit demand quantity page, edit the Demand quantity of a resource.
        3. Click Save.
    4. If the capacity request is in Created state then click Submit.
    5. On the Submit capacity request confirmation page, click Submit.
  • Use the following commands and required parameters to edit a capacity request:
    • To cancel a submitted request, use the update command.
      oci capacity-management occ-capacity-request update [OPTIONS]
    • To edit the quantity of resources in a request, run the patch command.
      oci capacity-management occ-capacity-request patch [OPTIONS]
