Prerequisites for Using OCC

Before you begin using OCC, ensure that the following prerequisites are met:

  • You have access to an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure tenancy.
  • Each service in OCI integrates with IAM for authentication and authorization, for the Console. Access permissions are provided to users within a particular compartment. You can create a compartment or reuse an existing one. See Managing Compartments.
  • An administrator in your organization sets up groups, compartments , and policies  that control which users can access which services, and which resources, and the type of access they have. See Authentication and Authorization and OCC Policies and Permissions.
  • Create a tenancy to access the Console and share the OCID of the tenancy with Oracle. The metrics monitoring and capacity management function in OCC is restricted to listed tenants. After the tenancy is allowed to be listed, you can access OCC.
