Retrying Target Discovery

Retry discovery of targets in Fleet Application Management.

On the fleet details page, view the fleet state, and if the state appears as FAILED, click See details and continue retrying the discovery process.

  • The following steps show how to retry discovery from the fleet details page. You can also retry discovery from the fleet details page by clicking More actions and selecting Retry discovery.
    1. Open the navigation menu and click Observability & Management. Under Fleet Application Management, click Fleets.
    2. Click the name of the fleet that you want.
      Tip

To find a fleet by name, enter its name in the Search field.
The details page for the fleet opens. Under Resources, find if the state of the fleet appears as Review Pending, then you must verify the targets before they can be used for lifecycle operations.

At the top of the page, you can view that Fleet Application Management updates the fleet state in real time. If the fleet state appears FAILED or discovery isn't successful, you can retry the discovery process.

    3. Click Retry discovery.
The resource discovery process progresses again, and if discovery is successful, you can confirm the target resources. See Confirming Targets.
  • Use the oci fleet-apps-management fleet request-target-discovery command and required parameters to retry discovery of targets:

    oci fleet-apps-management fleet request-target-discovery [OPTIONS]

For a complete list of flags and variable options for Fleet Application Management CLI commands, see the CLI for Fleet Application Management.

  • Run the RequestTargetDiscovery operation to retry discovery of targets.
