Commercial Measurement Usage Metrics

Track commercial measurement usage metrics of your Fusion Applications production environments.

Required Permissions to View the Reports

Usage reports are stored in an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Object Storage bucket. You must be a member of a group with the appropriate policy permissions to view the reports. If you are a tenancy administrator, you already have access. The predefined policies for Fusion Applications Environment Administrator, Environment Administrator, and Environment Read-Only User also include these permissions.

If you are not a member of one of these groups, you must belong to a group with the following minimum permissions to view Fusion Applications environments and the reports:

Define tenancy usage-report as ocid1.tenancy.oc1..aaaaaaaaned4fkpkisbwjlr56u7cj63lf3wffbilvqknstgtvzub7vhqkggq
Endorse group <group> to read objects in tenancy usage-report
Allow group <group> to read organizations-subscriptions in tenancy
Allow group <group> to read organizations-assigned-subscriptions in tenancy
Allow group <group> to read organizations-subscription-regions in tenancy

To view the usage reports:

  1. Go to the Fusion Applications environment details page.
  2. Under Resources, click Subscriptions, and then click the subscription ID link.

  4. Click the usage report name to download the PDF file.

The reports contain the corresponding usage metrics for the services being used for a particular production environment. They show what you licensed, how much you licensed, how much you’re using, and if you’re using a product that you did not license.

Two commercial metrics reports are available: the SaaS Service Usage Metrics Report (PDF) and the Hosted Named User Usage Drill Through Report (XLS).

The SaaS Service Usage Metrics Report (PDF) is generated daily. It contains usage metrics for the current month plus the past three months.

The Hosted Named User Usage Drill Through Report (XLSX) is generated monthly and enables you to access the raw hosted named user data, including roles and privileges assigned at the individual user level. The data for the report is collected with the help of a job called the Import User and Role Application Security Data ESS Job. To ensure that your report contains the most up-to-date data, you should schedule this job to run daily. For more information, see Configure the Import User and Role Application Security Data ESS Job.

Under Resources, you can filter the documents list by report type (PDF and XLS), or a report date range.
