Getting Started with Media Flow
Learn how to get started with Media Flow.
Prerequisites
Before you begin using Media Flow, ensure that:
- You have access to an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure tenancy.
- Each service in OCI integrates with IAM for authentication and authorization, for all interfaces (the Console, SDK and CLI, and REST API). Access permissions are provided to users within a particular compartment. You can create a compartment or reuse an existing one. See Managing Compartments.
- An administrator in your organization needs to set up groups, compartments , and policies that control which users can access which services, and which resources, and the type of access they have. See Authentication and Authorization.
- To store the content, create an object storage bucket. See Managing Buckets.
Setting up Access for Media Flow Resources
When you submit a media flow job, the job interacts with the integrated OCI services such as Object Storage, Speech, Language, and Vision, by using the permissions granted to the job owner.
Ensure that the user, resource, or dynamic group that creates the job has sufficient privileges in the compartments referenced in the job. The permissions include read or write access to the Object Storage objects in one or more compartments in which the video is stored. If your workflow includes tasks related to Speech, Language, or Vision grant the permissions required by the services. See the IAM policies for Speech, Language, and Vision.
See Authentication and Authorization for details.
