Overview

Application Performance Monitoring (APM) can be used to fully monitor E-Business Suite (EBS), HTML-based and Forms-based applications, and provide deep tracing capabilities.

If you plan to monitor EBS Forms-based applications, you also need to configure Real User Experience Insight (RUEI) which maps its data to spans and traces that are reported back to APM. This configuration allows the full APM reporting and alerting capabilities to be used. The EBS and RUEI integration is especially useful when client-instrumentation is not possible, like in the case of Oracle Forms-based applications, but it could also be used to consolidate existing RUEI reporting into Oracle Cloud.
