You can set up On-Premise Vantage Point to define a private location within your own virtual machine (VM) compute instance to run your monitors securely.

You can use On-Premise Vantage Point (OPVP) to monitor applications within your own VM compute instance, which cannot be accessed by a public synthetic vantage point. The On-Premise Vantage Point cannot be used by anyone outside your own VM and you have complete control over the network settings. In this way, you can make an On-Premise Vantage Point a part of your corporate network and monitor private endpoints.

You can create an On-Premise Vantage Point on VM compute instances. As part of its configuration, you are required to deploy a synthetic worker on the environment capable of running a monitor. To deploy a synthetic worker, you must have an APM domain private data key or APM domain update privileges.
