Download Agent Installer
Use this action button to download the Oracle Management Agent software installer with the requisite software. You can also download the management agent software, installation script, and response file in Other Installation Options.
Transfer the installer files to the hosts you wish to monitor using JMS Fleets. Executing the installer will install the Management Agent, deploy JMS plug-ins, and configure the managed instance to report to the JMS Fleet from which the installer was downloaded. A managed instance can be a host on your premises, a compute instance on OCI, or on a third-party cloud platform.
To access the Download agent installer page, use either of the following options:
- In the Fleet Dashboard, click the vertical ellipsis (⋮) of the required fleet row and select Download agent installer.
OR
- In the Fleet Details page, click Download agent installer action button.
Download Oracle Management Agent Software Installer with Requisite Software
- This Oracle Management Agent installer includes its own JDK 8, thereby eliminating the need for the host to have JDK 8 installed prior to installing Management Agents.
- OCI Linux instances in the same tenancy region are to be configured using Oracle Cloud Agent and do not require pre-installed JDK 8. See OCI Linux under Using Installation Script or Manual Method for more information.
Select the appropriate installation package for the hosts that need to be configured to report to this JMS Fleet. The following information is presented for each package:
- Download: the compressed folder and configuration file for each platform
- Operating system: type of operating system, such as Windows, macOS, or Linux
- Compressed folder size (MB): size of the compressed folder
- Compressed folder SHA-256 checksum: hash code of the compressed folder
Each download includes two files: a compressed folder (ZIP or tar.gz format) and a configuration text file. The compressed folder contains the latest agent package, which is available under the Oracle Free Use Terms and Conditions and the latest JDK 8 provided under the Oracle Technology Network License Agreement for Oracle Java SE, which includes a grant to run the Oracle Management Agent. The configuration text file contains the setup parameters that you can use to customize your installation process. See Configuration Parameters.
See OMA Installer Package Details for more information.
