Moving a Lifecycle Environment to Another Compartment

Move a lifecycle environment to another compartment in OS Management Hub. This can help restrict access to resources by placing them in a specific compartment.

For best practices when moving compartments, see Compartment Considerations.

    1. On the Lifecycle environments list page, select the name of the lifecycle. If you need help finding the list page, see Listing Lifecycle Environments.
    2. Select Move resource.
    3. Select the Destination compartment to move the lifecycle environment to.
    4. Select Move resource.

  • Use the oci os-management-hub lifecycle-environment change-compartment command and required parameters to move the lifecycle environment to another compartment with the same tenancy.

    oci os-management-hub managed-instance-group change-compartment --lifecycle-env-id ocid --compartment-id ocid [OPTIONS]

  • Run the ChangeLifecycleEnvironmentCompartment operation to move the lifecycle environment to another compartment within the same tenancy.
