Exadata Cloud Service: Choose Data Guard type using the Console or APIs

For Exadata Cloud Service databases, you can now choose between Oracle Active Data Guard and regular Oracle Data Guard when creating a new Data Guard association in the Console or using the APIs. You can also change the Data Guard type of an existing Data Guard association using the console and APIs. See Using Oracle Data Guard with Exadata Cloud Service for more information.
