This update of Web Application Firewall (WAF) allows you to directly apply and enforce OCI WAF protection on your Flexible Load Balancer (both Public and Private) instances. This enhancement enables you to secure both your internet-facing and internal (VCN only) application workloads. It addition to protecting against layer 7 attacks, OCI WAF now can also protect against insider threats and provide enhanced WAF security for “in-region” application workloads. These attacks are mitigated in-region before they reach your application backend servers.
