A new release for Data Catalog is now available. It includes the following key enhancements.

You can now:

• Automatically generate logical entities without having to configure complex regular expressions for filename patterns.
• Understand files in data lakes better with the partitions identified automatically during harvest.
• Sync metadata from Metastore to Data Catalog for easier searching and metadata enrichment.
• Define relationships between business terms across glossaries.
• Use Microsoft Excel-based export or import of custom property values for the logical entities in the Oracle Object Storage data asset.
• Harvest metadata for the Oracle Object Storage files that are compressed using the zlib format.
