Editing a Container Image Scan Recipe

Edit an existing container image scan recipe.

    1. Open the navigation menu and click Identity & Security. Under Scanning, click Scan Recipes.
    2. Select the compartment that contains the recipe.
    3. Click the Container image tab.
    4. Click the name of the recipe.
    5. Click Edit.
    6. Change any of the following settings for the recipe.
      • Name

        Avoid entering confidential information.

      • Number of images to scan first time for a repository
    7. Click Save changes
    8. (Optional) Click the Tags tab to manage the tags for this recipe.

      If you have permissions to create a resource, you also have permissions to add free-form tags to that resource.

      To add a defined tag, you must have permissions to use the tag namespace.

      For more information about tagging, see Resource Tags. If you're not sure if you should add tags, skip this option or ask your administrator. You can add tags later.

  • Use the oci vulnerability-scanning container scan recipe update command and required parameters to update a container scan recipe identified by the recipe ID:

    oci vulnerability-scanning container scan recipe update [OPTIONS]

  • Run the UpdateContainerScanRecipe operation to update a container scan recipe identified by the recipe ID.
