Copying and Pasting

Copy and paste text between the virtual desktop and local system when using the Secure Desktops web client or installed client.

Using the Web Client

Use the web client clipboard to copy and paste text.

Note

The web client does not support copying and pasting images.

From virtual desktop to local system

  1. On the virtual desktop, copy the text. Use the mouse or keyboard shortcut for the virtual desktop.
  2. From the side panel of the web page, select Receive Clipboard Receive Clipboard icon and then click Confirm. The text is now stored on the local system's clipboard.
  3. On the local system, paste the text. Use the mouse or keyboard shortcut for the local system.

From local system to virtual desktop

  1. On the local system, copy the text. Use the mouse or keyboard shortcut for the local system.
  2. From the side panel of the web page, select Send Clipboard Send Clipboard icon and then paste the text to the Paste dialog box. The text is now stored on the virtual desktop's clipboard.
  3. On the virtual desktop, paste the text. Use the mouse or keyboard shortcut for the virtual desktop.

Using the Installed Client

The installed client is fully integrated with the operating system's clipboard. Therefore, copy and paste actions are transparent between the virtual desktop and local system. For all copy and paste functions, use the standard mouse or keyboard shortcuts for your respective operating system.
