Desktop not showing in desktop user's assigned desktops

The desktop user may not see a desktop in their list of assigned desktops if the desktop pool is inactive or there is an issue with the user policy or group assignment.

Within the Secure Desktops interface, the desktop user can view a list of desktops that they can connect to. There are few possible reasons a desktop may not be displayed in the list. To understand when a desktop is displayed to a desktop user, see What's visible in the Secure Desktops interface?.

Desktop pool is inactive

The desktop user can only see active desktop pools. If the pool has been stopped it will not show in the desktop list. Start the pool to make the desktop available to the desktop user. See Starting or Stopping Desktops in a Desktop Pool.

Incorrect user policy or group assignment

Verify the IAM policy for the desktop user is correctly configured. Verify the desktop user is a member of the group associated with the compartment that the desktop pool resides in.

Allow group <desktop-users> to use published-desktops in compartment <desktop-compartment>

For more information on constructing the policy, see Secure Desktops Policies.

To understand user access to a desktop, see Understanding Desktop User Access to a Desktop Pool.
