Supported Images

Secure Desktops supports images for both Linux and Windows.

Currently, Secure Desktops supports images for the following Linux versions:

  • Oracle Linux 7
    Oracle provides a general purpose Oracle Linux 7 base image that is pre-configured for use with Secure Desktops. Gnome, XFCE4, and KDE are installed. During an import, when creating a custom image in your tenancy, specify the following Object Storage URL:

  • Oracle Linux 8

    Oracle provides a general purpose Oracle Linux 8 base image that is pre-configured for use with Secure Desktops. Gnome, XFCE4, and KDE are installed. During an import, when creating a custom image in your tenancy, specify the following Object Storage URL:

Currently, Secure Desktops supports images for the following Windows versions:

  • Windows 10
  • Windows 11
Note

OCI does not provide images or licenses for Windows 10 or Windows 11. To use a Windows image, you must comply with your Microsoft license agreement. See Microsoft Licensing on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

For Secure Desktops to recognize an image for use in a desktop pool, you must properly tag the image when importing it into Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
