Create and Manage Autonomous Container Databases
Learn how to create and manage an Autonomous Container Database from the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure console.
- About Autonomous Container Database
Autonomous Container Database (ACD) is one of the four components of the four-level database architecture model, which is the foundation for an Autonomous Database on Dedicated Exadata Infrastructure. ACDs are provisioned inside an Autonomous Exadata VM Cluster (AVMC) and serve as containers for one or more Autonomous Databases. - Create an Autonomous Container Database
You create an Autonomous Container Database from the Autonomous Container Databases page. - View Details of an Autonomous Container Database
You view the details of an Autonomous Container Database by going to its Details page. - View Resource Usage for an Autonomous Container Database
Follow these steps to view the Autonomous Container Database's resource usage details. - Restart an Autonomous Container Database
You restart an Autonomous Container Database by clicking Restart on its Details page. - Move an Autonomous Container Database to a Different Compartment
You can move an Autonomous Container Database to a different Oracle Cloud Infrastructure compartment. - View a List of Autonomous Container Databases
You can view a list of all Autonomous Container Databases in a Compartment or of just those in a particular Autonomous Exadata VM Cluster resource. - Configure and Manage Autonomous Data Guard
The Autonomous Data Guard feature of Autonomous Database on Dedicated Exadata Infrastructure enables you to keep your critical production databases available to mission critical applications despite failures, disasters, human error, or data corruption. This kind of capability is often called disaster recovery. - Edit Autonomous Container Database Backup Settings
If automatic backups were disabled while provisioning an Autonomous Container Database (ACD), you can enable them later from the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) console. - Update Autonomous Container Database Maintenance Preferences
You update the maintenance preferences of an Autonomous Container Database from its Details page. - View and Manage Scheduled Maintenance of an Autonomous Container Database
You view and manage scheduled maintenance of an Autonomous Container Database from its Details page. - View Past Maintenance of an Autonomous Container Database
You view past maintenance of an Autonomous Container Database from its Details page. - Schedule a Quarterly Maintenance Update
You can schedule an on-demand maintenance to update RU (Release Update) along with the time-zone file or just the time-zone file for an Autonomous Container Database (ACD). You can also choose to update using an existing custom database software image. - Terminate an Autonomous Container Database
You terminate an Autonomous Container Database by clicking Terminate on its Details page.
