Changing the Session Time-Out

Customize how long your users stay signed in to the tenancy.

The Console automatically signs out users after a period of inactivity. If you want to change the session idle timeout settings for users in a tenancy, you can use the Console settings menu.

  1. Open the Profile menu and click Console settings.
  2. Under Session idle timeout, select a session idle time-out value. If you select Custom number of minutes, enter a number from 5 to 60.
  3. Click Save changes.

To change the session timeout, you must either be in the Administrators group for the tenancy, or have permissions to manage default preferences for the tenancy. Following is an example policy that grants users permission to manage default preferences for the tenancy:
