Switching Table and Graph Views for an Alarm Metric Chart

View the metric chart on the Create Alarm or Edit alarm page in the Console as a table, or switch back to the graph (chart) view.

This page describes how to switch table and graph views for a metric chart on the Create Alarm or Edit alarm page. To switch views for a default chart, see Switching Table and Chart Views for a Default Metric Chart.   1. To view a metric chart on the Create Alarm page, follow these steps:
    1. Open the navigation menu and click Observability & Management. Under Monitoring, click Alarm Definitions.
    2. Click Create alarm.
    3. In the Metric description section on the Create Alarm page, select a metric namespace and metric name.
      Note

      The Metric namespace list shows metric namespaces for the selected compartment. For example, if the current compartment contains load balancers, then the list includes oci_lbaas.
    The chart shows metric data for the alarm query.
  2. To open the Edit alarm page, follow these steps:
    1. Open the navigation menu and click Observability & Management. Under Monitoring, click Alarm Definitions.
    2. Click the name of the alarm that you want.
    The chart shows metric data for the alarm query.
  3. Click Show Data Table.
    The metric data is now presented as a table. Example excerpt:

  4. To switch back to a chart view, click Show Graph.
    The metric data is now presented as a graph (chart). Example:Example metric chart for an alarm query
