Create an alarm on any metric query to send email to a specified user when the metric query is triggered.

Open the navigation menu and click Analytics & AI. Under Data Lake, click Big Data Service.

Click the cluster name you want to create an alarm for.
The cluster details page is displayed.

To create an alarm, complete one of the following:
- To create a cluster metric alarm, click Cluster metrics under Resources.
or
- To create a node metric alarm, click the node you want to create the alarm for.

In the query window that you want to create the alarm for, click Options > Create an alarm on this query.
