APM Updates
- Services: Application Performance Monitoring
- Release Date: December 18, 2024
A new release of Application Performance Monitoring (APM) is available with the following updates:
- Export to CSV: You can now use the export button on the top right of the Trace Explorer result table to download the displayed data as a CSV file (up to 1 million rows).
- APM dashboard widgets update: The APM dashboard widgets such as Topology, Geomap, and Trace Explorer table, are now fully supported in the cross service Management Dashboard pages. Prior to this release, these widgets were rendered as simple tables when used in non-APM dashboards.
- Share TQLs: A Copy recent queries menu item enables copying of the content of the TQL history list to the clipboard for easy sharing and saving.
- Improved query attribute help: When typing a query, the automatic help will suggest attributes appropriate to the location of the cursor within the query, showing trace, span, or query result specific values as relevant.
- Run query in the background: A new Run query in the background button located next to the
Cancel
query execution button is available which opens the Run query in the background dialog. This feature allows execution of queries that take more than the allowed 60 seconds to complete. When a background query is completed, it can be seen from the View background queries window by clicking the down arrow next to theRun
button. - The attributes panel shows query-result attributes: When the TQL text in the query box reference a query-result (result set of a background query), the Attribute panel displays an additional tab, showing the attributes available in the specific query-result.
