Full Stack Disaster Recovery introduces new features, API changes, and is now available in the Spain Central (Madrid) region

  • Full Stack Disaster Recovery is now available in the Spain Central (Madrid) region. For more information, see Full Stack Disaster Recovery Documentation and Full Stack Disaster Recovery API Reference.
  • Capacity Reservation support is introduced for Full Stack Disaster Recovery. You can now use reserved capacity in the destination region where you want to launch a moving instance. Capacity reservations enable you to reserve instances in advance so that the capacity is available for your workloads when you need it.
  • IP address and hostname assignment: You can now choose to assign a specific IP address and hostname to an instance that is relocated during disaster recovery. Note that the provided IP address must be compatible with the IP range (CIDR) of the destination subnet, and the IP address and hostname must be available in the destination subnet.

For more information, see Add a Compute Instance to a Disaster Recovery Protection Group and Full Stack Disaster Recovery API Reference.
