Version 20 of oci-fss-utils for File Storage in-transit encryption is now available

To enable in-transit encryption with OCI’s File Storage Service, customers install a package called oci-fss-utils on any instance that requires a secure connection to a mount target.

As part of regular maintenance and to comply with the latest security standards, Oracle has updated the SSL certificates on the OCI File Storage access layer.

In addition to the new SSL certificates, the new version of the oci-fss-utils  RPM package contains the latest trust anchors for the certificates as well as other improvements.

If you are not using the latest version of the package (V 20), you might experience SSL connection failures. SSL Connection Failures can cause NFSv3 operations to fail.
We recommend that you upgrade to the latest version of the oci-fss-utils package (https://www.oracle.com/downloads/cloud/cloud-infrastructure-file-storage-downloads.html) as soon as possible.
