You can now create named credentials in Database Management to store, manage, and use database user credentials. Once a named credential is created, it can be used by multiple users to securely access a Managed Database and perform various Database Management tasks. In addition, you can now:

• Use the named credentials along with the existing preferred credentials to obtain the benefits of both types of credentials.
• Set a session credential using new or existing named credentials, for use during a particular session.
