Remote Agent Appliance Diagnostic messages
The remote agent appliance on the VM console displays messages that can help you identify issues such as agent registration fails in OCI or an agent connected to OCI not functioning properly.
Here's a list of messages that can appear on the remote agent appliance. For information about built-in diagnostics, see Diagnosing Remote Agent Appliance Network Connectivity.
Appliance failed to acquire primary IP
The external interface of the remote agent appliance VM is not configured properly. Either no DHCP lease has been acquired or no static IP configuration is provided.
Appliance was unable to resolve gateway MAC address
The remote agent appliance VM is not able to communicate with the configured default network gateway.
Appliance did not receive a response from DNS servers
The remote agent appliance VM is not able to receive a response from DNS servers.
Appliance was unable to connect to a proxy IP address
The proxy settings of the remote agent appliance VM are not configured properly.
Appliance has not yet successfully connected to OCI
The registration attempt failed and a connection could not be established with OCI. A network configuration issue such as a DNS lookup failure or an interrupted registration process might have occurred.
Creating
status in the OCI console can indicate an
interrupted registration process. In some cases, you must reset or deploy a new
appliance, and attempt the registration againAppliance has failed to register
The registration attempt has failed permanently.
Appliance has failed to authorize in the control plane
A registered remote agent appliance could not communicate with the service control plane.
Connection to OCI has failed
The previously registered and functioning remote agent appliance might be experiencing an intermittent network issue.
Appliance registration has expired
The registration for a previously functioning remote agent appliance has expired.
