Managing Application Roles

Manage instances in Resource Analytics.

Use the following operations to manage instances in Resource Analytics:

Listing Application Roles

  1. Ensure you're in the appropriate region for working with Resource Analytics.
  2. Navigate to the Observability & Management section.
  3. Select Resource Analytics.
    The Resource Analytics home page is displayed.
  4. Select the Compartment to work in.
  5. Under Management and Administration, select Roles & Permissions.
  6. Select Application Roles.
    The list of application roles is displayed.

Deleting Application Roles

You can delete custom application roles. On deletion of the custom application roles, Resource Analytics deletes the mappings to the groups.

  1. Open the Application Roles page. If you need help finding it, see Listing Application Roles
  2. Select the application role to be deleted from the list.
  3. Select Remove Application Role.
  4. Select Delete Role.

Assigning Group to Application Roles

  1. Open the Application Roles page. If you need help finding it, see Listing Application Roles
  2. Search for an application role or select one from the displayed list of application roles.
  3. In the application role details page, select Assign Groups.
  4. Select the group to add from the list displayed.
  5. Select Save.

Removing a Group Assigned to an Application Role

  1. Open the Application Roles page. If you need help finding it, see Listing Application Roles
  2. Search for the application role to remove the group from, or select the application role from the displayed list.
  3. In the application role details region, select the checkbox for a displayed group or search for a group and select it.
  4. Select Remove Group.
  5. Select Remove Group again.
