Listing Channels

You can retrieve a list of channels.

Use the Console, a command-line interface, or the REST API to list channels.

Using the Console

Use the Console to list channels.

  1. Open the navigation menu and select Databases. Under MySQL HeatWave, select Channels.
    The Channels list page opens. All channels in the selected compartment are displayed in a table.
  2. To view the channels in a different compartment, use the Compartment filter to switch compartments.
    Note

    You must have permission to work in a compartment to see the resources in it. If you're not sure which compartment to use, contact an administrator. For more information, see Understanding Compartments.
  3. Filtering List Results: Use filters to limit the channels in the list. Perform one of the following actions depending on the options that you see:
    • From the Search and Filter box above the list table, select one or more filters and specify the values that you want to use to narrow the list. In general, the filters correspond to the columns shown in the list table, although some filters represent attributes that aren't shown in the table. The Compartment filter is always displayed next to Applied filters.
    • On the left side of the list page, select a value from one of the available filters, such as compartment, state, or tags.
    Change the order of the items in the list table by using the sort icons next to the column names.
  4. Actions: In the list table, select the name of a channel to open its details page, where you can view its status and perform other tasks. To perform an action on a channel directly from the list table, select any of the following options from the Actions menu in the row for that channel:
    • View details: Open the details page for the channel.
    • Enable or Disable: Enable or disable the channel.
    • Reset: Reset the channel.
    • Copy OCID: Copy the OCID of the channel to the clipboard.
    • Delete: Delete the channel.
    To create a channel, select Create channel.
    To perform a bulk action on one or more channels, select a list of channels and select any of the following options from the Actions menu at the top of the table:
    • Enable: Enable selected channels.
    • Disable: Disable selected channels.
    • Reset: Reset selected channels.
    • Delete: Delete selected channels.

Using the CLI

Use the command-line interface to list channels.

This task requires the following:
  • The Oracle Cloud Identifier (OCID) of your compartment.
  • A policy that permits you to list channels in the compartment or tenancy.
  • A properly configured CLI installation and the requisite SSH keys. See Command Line Interface.
List all channels in a compartment using the CLI:
  1. Open a command prompt and run the following command:
    oci mysql channel list 
     --compartment-id <CompartmentOCID>
    • compartment-id: Specify the OCID of the compartment.
If the command validates and runs successfully, you get a response which list all the channels found in the specified compartment.
