You can monitor a single Exadata Infrastructure resource and the associated DB systems and storage server grids on the Exadata infrastructure details page.

To go to the Exadata infrastructure details page, you can use one of the following options:

• Click the display name of the Exadata Infrastructure resource on the Exadata fleet summary page. For information, see Monitor Exadata Infrastructure Fleet.
• Click the link in the Exadata column on the Managed databases page for External Databases. For information, see Access Database Management Administration.

On the Exadata infrastructure details page, you can:

• Click Rediscover Exadata infrastructure to rediscover the Exadata Infrastructure resource and add connections to any new storage servers. For information, see Discover Exadata Infrastructure.
• Click More actions to perform the following tasks:
  • Click Rename to rename the Exadata Infrastructure resource.
  • Click Add tags to add tags to the Exadata Infrastructure resource. For information, see Working with Resource Tags.
  • Click Move resource to move the Exadata Infrastructure resource to another compartment.
  • Click View connectors to view the connectors used to connect to the storage servers in the Exadata Infrastructure. In the View connectors panel, click the display name of the connector to go to the External connector details page and view connector details. For information, see View Storage Server Connector Details.
  • Click Disable Database Management to disable Database Management for the Exadata Infrastructure resource. If Database Management is disabled on an Exadata Infrastructure, then it stops monitoring the associated storage servers and you can no longer perform tasks such as rediscovering the Exadata Infrastructure resource. Note that even when Database Management is disabled for the Exadata Infrastructure resource, it remains enabled for the associated DB systems.
  • Click Deregister Exadata infrastructure to deregister the Exadata Infrastructure resource and remove the associated storage servers and connectors. Note that even when the Exadata Infrastructure is deregistered, the associated DB system is not deregistered and its components such as databases and listeners continue to be monitored by Database Management.
• View Exadata infrastructure information, which includes details such as its OCID, the number of associated DB systems, and Database Management enablement status. In the Exadata infrastructure information section, you can:
  • Click the compartment link to go to the Compartment details page.
  • Monitor the total number of open storage server alarms in the Exadata Infrastructure, and the number of alarms by severity. Click the number of alarms to access the Alarms panel and review the list of open alarms. For information, see Monitor Alarms for Storage Servers.
• Click the Tags tab to add, view, edit, or remove tags. For information, see Working with Resource Tags.
• Monitor the associated DB systems and the storage server grid in the Summary section for the time period selected in the Time period drop-down list.
  • Monitor the status of the DB systems and the storage servers in the storage server grid during the selected time period in the Monitoring status timeline section. The monitoring status indicates whether Database Management can collect monitoring metrics for the resource. The color of the blocks denotes the monitoring status and the number of blocks denotes the time slots within the selected time period over which status is checked. For example, if the default time period, Last 60 min, is selected, then each block represents a period of two minutes. Here's information on what the color of the blocks in the Monitoring status timeline denotes:
    • Green: All the resources of a particular type are available and monitored during the selected time period.
    • Amber: Some of the resources of a particular type have monitoring issues during the selected time period.
    • Red: All the resources of a particular type are down during the selected time period.
    • Grey: All the resources of a particular type have monitoring issues during the selected time period.
  • Monitor the lifecycle state, status, and grid home details of the associated DB systems in the Database systems section. In this section, you can:
    • Click the display name of the DB system to go to the Database System details page. For information, see Monitor External Database Systems.
    • For RAC DB systems and Single Instance DB systems on RAC One Node, click the name of the cluster in the Cluster column to go the External cluster details page. For information, see Monitor Clusters.
  • Monitor the lifecycle state, status, and resource usage details such as storage utilization and allocation in the Storage Server grid section. You can also monitor a fine-grained performance summary of the flash disks and hard disks in the storage server grid and the alerts sent from the storage servers, which represent events of importance occurring within the storage servers.

    In this section, you can:

    • Click the icon adjacent to the display name of the storage server grid to view the storage servers and monitor the metrics at the storage server level.
    • Click the display name of the storage server grid to go to the Storage Server grid details page. For information, see Monitor a Storage Server Grid.
    • Click the display name of the storage servers to go to the Storage Server details page. For information, see Monitor a Single Storage Server.
• Click Work requests on the left pane under Resources to monitor the work requests pertaining to the Exadata Infrastructure.
