Monitor a Single Storage Server

You can monitor the status, performance, and other details for a single storage server on the Storage Server details page.

To go to the Storage Server details page:

  1. Go to the Exadata infrastructure details page.
  2. In the Storage Server grid section, click the Arrow icon adjacent to the display name of the storage server grid to view the storage servers, and click the display name of the storage server.

The Storage Server details page is displayed.

In the Storage Server information section on the Storage Server details page, you can view details such as the OCID of the storage server, the name of the Exadata Infrastructure, storage server grid, connector, and compartment and click the corresponding links to go to the associated pages. You can click Change adjacent to Connector to change the connector used to connect to the storage server. Note that if you previously deleted the connector, then you can click Add adjacent to Connector to add a new connection to the storage server. For information on how to add a connection, see Add Connections to Storage Servers.

The Summary and other sections on the Storage Server details page are very similar to the sections on the Storage Server grid details page. The Storage Server details page provides information for a single storage server (individual cell level) while the Storage Server grid details page provides the aggregated information for all storage servers in the grid. For general information on the charts and details displayed in the various sections on the Storage Server details page, see Monitor a Storage Server Grid.

In addition to the sections available for storage server grids, the I/O Resource Manager section is available for storage servers under Resources on the left pane on the Storage Server details page. This section displays the IORM settings, which control how databases utilize disks and flash cache. This section displays the IORM status, objective, inter-database plan, the list of databases and their I/O allocation and utilization and flash cache space usage details. For information on IORM, see Understanding I/O Resource Management (IORM) in Oracle Exadata Database Machine User's Guide.
