Enabling or Disabling Database Management

Enable Database Management to monitor DB systems and obtain meaningful insights from metrics, and use Performance Hub to quickly diagnose performance issues. By default, database management is enabled.

Using the Console

Use the Console to enable or disable Database Management on a DB system. By default, Database Management is enabled.

This task requires the following:
  1. To disable Database Management on a DB system, do the following:
    1. Open the Disable Database Managment dialog box by clicking Disable adjacent to the Database Managment field under Associated services.
      The Disable Database Managment dialog box is displayed.
    2. Click Disable.
      The DB system enters the Updating state and Database Management is disabled.
  2. To enable Database Managment on a DB system, do the following:
    1. Open the Enable Database Managment dialog box by clicking Enable adjacent to the Database Managment field under Associated services.
      The Enable Database Managment dialog box is displayed.
    2. Click Enable.
      The DB system enters the Updating state and Database Management is enabled. Once Database Management is enabled, you can monitor your MySQL HeatWave fleet or a single DB sysrem, and use Performance Hub to monitor and troubleshoot SQL performance.
