Connecting to Your Desktop

Always open your desktop from the Secure Desktops interface.

Note

By default, the desktop opens using the web client. To use the installed client, adjust the settings on the Preferences page.

  1. In the Secure Desktops interface, click Desktops in the left navigation.
  2. Click the name of the desktop or use the menu to select Open.

    An Opening desktop pop-up window opens. This window is informational only and does not affect the request to launch the desktop. Click Dismiss to close this window. Otherwise, it closes automatically once the desktop launches. If a timeout or error is encountered, a help window opens.

    If connecting for the first time:

    • Initially, the desktop will be in a status of Available - new desktop. Opening it will change the status to Available - opening and then Available (see Desktop Status).
    • Once the desktop is Available, click Open again to open the desktop.
    • If using the installed client, allow the browser to open the client and then accept the certificate.
