Using OAC with Resource Analytics

Create reports in OAC from Resource Analytics data.

Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) is a popular tool for visualizing Oracle database data. Resource Analytics has some sample dashboards for Resource Analytics data that can be accessed in an OAC instance. If you use OAC as part of your Resource Analytics select to provision a new instance with the sample dashboards included automatically.

OAC can be setup at the time of provisioning the Resource Analytics instance or can be added later. On the main Resource Analytics instance details page, at the OAC line item you can add or remove it as appropriate

If you have decided to provision OAC, two further options must be considered:

  • Bring Your Own License (BYOL)
If your organization already owns licenses for OAC, it's possible to allocate one of those for use with Resource Analytics. Select the BYOL option when creating your instance or when adding OAC to an existing instance.
  • Choice of Network Configuration
By default you're assigned a public endpoint through which to access the OAC instance. To configure your OAC for a Private Endpoint, select the relevant option on the create form. For more information, see: Administering Oracle Analytics Cloud on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (Gen 2).
    Note

After selection, the endpoint type for OAC can't be changed.

If more processing power is needed to run your models in OAC, OCPU capacity increases (within limits) are available within the OAC Console. For more information on how to make the changes and what options are available online, see About Scaling in the OAC documentation.
