Managing Widgets

Add widgets to your Console dashboards, and then edit, refresh, duplicate, delete, and adjust the positioning of the widgets as needed.

For information about configuring specific widgets, see Configuring Widgets.

Adding Widgets to a Dashboard

  1. On the Console home page, click the Dashboard tab.

    The default dashboard opens. If needed, switch dashboards.

  2. Click + Add widget.
  3. In the Add new widget panel, select a widget, and if applicable, click Configure. For configuration instructions for each widget, see Types of Console Dashboards Widgets.
  4. Add more widgets as needed.
  5. When you're done adding widgets, click Save.

Editing a Widget

  1. On the Console home page, click the Dashboard tab.

    The default dashboard opens. If needed, switch dashboards.

  2. For the widget that you want to edit, click the Actions menu (Actions Menu), and select View and edit settings.
  3. Change the configuration for the widget as needed. For widget configuration details, see Configuring Widgets.
  4. Click Save changes.

Refreshing Widget Data

  1. On the Console home page, click the Dashboard tab.

    The default dashboard opens. If needed, switch dashboards.

  2. For the widget that you want to refresh, click the Actions menu (Actions Menu) and select Refresh chart.

Duplicating a Widget

  1. On the Console home page, click the Dashboard tab.

    The default dashboard opens. If needed, switch dashboards.

  2. For the widget that you want to duplicate, click the Actions menu (Actions Menu) and select Duplicate widget.

    A copy of the widget is added to the dashboard.

  3. Click Save.

Deleting a Widget

  1. On the Console home page, click the Dashboard tab.

    The default dashboard opens. If needed, switch dashboards.

  2. For the widget that you want to delete, click the Actions menu (Actions Menu) and select Delete.

    The widget is removed from the dashboard.

  3. Click Save.

Changing a Dashboard's Layout

  1. On the Console home page, click the Dashboard tab.

    The default dashboard opens. If needed, switch dashboards.

  2. To change the layout, click Edit layout.
  3. Drag widgets to new positions on the dashboard, and then click Save.
