Enabling Logs for Troubleshooting

Learn how to enable logs for troubleshooting.

Enabling email service logs for a sending domain before sending an email ensures that a log is generated whenever an email is sent to that email domain.

When a user doesn't receive an email sent to their email domain, the missing email can be tracked through the generated email service log when the email was sent provided they had enabled email service logs before sending the email.

Using the Console

  1. Open the navigation menu and click Developer Services. Under Application Integration, click Email Delivery. Under Email Delivery, click Email Domains.
  2. Click the name of the email domain where you want to enable logs. We recommend that you enable logs for all domains.
    Note

    If you don't see the expected domain, check that you're in the proper compartment.
  3. Under Email Logs, click Logs.
  4. Enable Outbound Accepted and Outbound Relayed logs by enabling the Enabled sliders.
