Stopping a HeatWave cluster stops billing for the cluster. Billing resumes if you restart the HeatWave cluster.

Billing for Lakehouse storage is based on the amount of data stored in the HeatWave storage layer on object storage forHeatWave Lakehouse queries. Billing for Lakehouse storage starts when HeatWave Lakehouse is enabled and the first Lakehouse external table is loaded into HeatWave cluster. The billing stops only when HeatWave Lakehouse is disabled or the HeatWave cluster is deleted. Billing for Lakehouse storage continues even when the HeatWave cluster is stopped.
