Publishing a Runbook

Publish a custom runbook and make it usable in Fleet Application Management.

Tip

You can publish a custom runbook only if it's in the draft state and not yet published. The status of the custom runbook in draft state is Inactive.
    1. Open the navigation menu and click Observability & Management. Under Fleet Application Management, click Actions and Controls.
    2. On the Runbooks tab, click the Actions menu (Actions Menu) to the rightmost of the runbook that you want to publish and then select Publish runbook. Be sure to select a runbook with the status Inactive.
      Tip

To find a runbook by name, enter its name in the Search field. You can also search by runbook type, whether it belongs to a product or product stack.
The runbook status moves to an updating state and takes some time to become active.
  • Use the oci fleet-apps-management fleet-apps-management-runbooks runbook publish command and required parameters to publish a custom runbook:

oci fleet-apps-management fleet-apps-management-runbooks runbook publish [OPTIONS]
