Learn how to create and manage Subscriptions.

Create Subscriptions

To create a subscription using the Oracle Cloud Console, use this procedure.

  1. Log in to your Oracle Cloud Infrastructure tenancy.
  2. Open the navigation menu. Under Oracle Database, click Delegate Access Control.
  3. Click Subscriptions.
  4. Click Create subscription.
  5. On the resulting Create subscription page, select a service provider, and then optionally enter a brief description.
  6. Click Create subscription.
  7. (Optional) To specify additional features, select Show Advanced Options. In the Tag Namespace field, consider adding a tag namespace (an identifying text string applied to a set of compartments), or tagging the control with an existing tag namespace.

View Subscriptions Details

To view details of a subscription, use this procedure.

  1. Log in to your Oracle Cloud Infrastructure tenancy.
  2. Open the navigation menu. Under Oracle Database, click Delegate Access Control.
  3. Click Subscriptions.
  4. From the list of subscriptions, click the name of the subscription that you want to view details.

Add Tags to Subscriptions

Add tags to a Subscription to make it easier to find, or to track resources used for specific purposes.

Applying tags to resources is optional. If you have permissions to create a resource, then you also have permissions to apply free-form tags to that resource. To apply a defined tag, you must have permissions to use the tag namespace. For more information about tagging, see Resource Tags. If you are not sure if you should apply tags, then skip this option (you can apply tags later), or ask your administrator.
  1. Log in to your Oracle Cloud Infrastructure tenancy.
  2. Open the navigation menu. Under Oracle Database, click Delegate Access Control.
  3. Click Subscriptions.
  4. From the list of Subscriptions, select the Subscription for which you want to add tags.
  5. On the Delegation Control details page, click Add Tags.

Filter Subscriptions by State

To review the states of a Subscription, you can filter based on the workflow.

  1. Log in to your Oracle Cloud Infrastructure tenancy.
  2. Open the navigation menu. Under Oracle Database, click Delegate Access Control.
  3. Click Subscriptions.
  4. Under Filters, select a State from the list.
    You can perform actions based on the state of the Subscription.
    Subscriptions Allowed Action
    Create in progress No actions.
    Active Update, Move, or Remove.
    Update in progress No actions.
    Delete in progress No actions.
    Deleted No actions.
    Failed Update, Move, or Remove.

Remove Subscriptions

To remove a Subscription, complete this procedure.

From the Subscription dashboard

  1. Log in to your Oracle Cloud Infrastructure tenancy.
  2. Open the navigation menu. Under Oracle Database, click Delegate Access Control.
  3. Click Subscriptions.
  4. From the list of Subscriptions, select the Subscription that you want to remove.
  5. Click Remove.
  6. On the resulting Remove Subscription dialog, add a comment, and then type the word REMOVE to confirm your choice.
  7. Click Remove.

From the Subscription details page

  1. Log in to your Oracle Cloud Infrastructure tenancy.
  2. Open the navigation menu. Under Oracle Database, click Delegate Access Control.
  3. Click Subscriptions.
  4. From the list of Subscriptions, click the name of the Subscription that you want to remove.
  5. On the Subscription details page, click Remove subscription.
  6. On the resulting Remove subscription dialog, add a comment, and then type the word REMOVE to confirm your choice.
  7. Click Remove.
