Moving a Management Station to Another Compartment

Move a management station to another compartment in OS Management Hub. This can help restrict access to resources by placing them in a specific compartment.

For best practices when moving compartments, see Compartment Considerations.

    1. On the Management stations list page, select the name of the station. If you need help finding the list page, see Listing Management Stations.
    2. On the management station details page, select Move resource.
    3. Select the Destination compartment to move the management station to.
    4. Select Move resource.

  • Use the oci os-management-hub management-station change-compartment command and required parameters to move the management station to another compartment within the same tenancy.

    oci os-management-hub management-station change-compartment --management-station-id ocid --compartment-id ocid [OPTIONS]
