Create policies for users to have necessary rights to the WebLogic Management resources. By default, users in the WebLogic Management
Administrators
group have access to all the resources.
If you're new to IAM policies, see Getting Started with Policies. For a complete list of all policies in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, see the Policy Reference and Common Policies.
WebLogic Management requires a tenancy administrator to add rules to the dynamic group that WebLogic Management creates during onboarding. This action allows WebLogic Managementt to perform lifecycle management operations on WebLogic Server instances deployed on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- To control access to the service and its resources, you must create user groups and dynamic groups and set up the required IAM policy.
- You can use the Set up policy feature to have WebLogic Management create the required policy statements or you can manually setup the policy.
- Example policies shows you some commonly used policies as well as advanced examples.
- The service provides various resource-types, variables and permissions for writing policies.
