Selecting a Default Profile

Define the profile to use as a default when registering a particular instance type (location, OS version, architecture) with OS Management Hub. Default profiles must reside in the root compartment.

    1. On the Profiles list page, select the root compartment. If you need help finding the list page, see Listing Profiles.
    2. Locate the profile you want to set as a default. From the Actions menu (Actions icon), select Set as default profile.

  • Use the oci os-management-hub profile update command and required parameters to update the profile and set it as the default. The profile must reside in the root compartment.

    oci os-management-hub profile update [OPTIONS]

  • Run the UpdateProfile operation to set the profile as a default. The profile must reside in the root compartment.
