Setting a Profile for an Instance

If an instances fails to register because of an incorrect profile, you can set the registration profile within OS Management Hub.

Note

This procedure is only for instances that have a status of "Registration failed". For instances not yet registered, instead select the profile when registering the instance.

    1. Open the navigation menu and click Observability & Management. Under OS Management Hub, click Instances.
    2. Under List scope, select the compartment that contains the instance.
    3. Click the name of the instance.
    4. Click Set profile, and then select the compartment and profile to use for registration.
    5. Click Set.
      Note

      It can take up to 10 minutes for an instance to register with the service.
  • Use the oci os-management-hub managed-instance attach-profile command and required parameters to set the registration profile for an instance.

    oci os-management-hub managed-instance attach-profile [OPTIONS]
