Modifying Scan Settings

Change the default settings for scan frequency and the domain scan paths that WebLogic Management uses when scanning for new WebLogic domains and changes to existing domains.

You can change the default scan settings for the compartment, or you can override them at the managed instance-level.

Using the Console

  1. Open the navigation menu and click Observability & Management. Under WebLogic Management, click Settings.
  2. Under Domain scan settings, change any of the following information:
    • WebLogic domain scan frequency (in hours): Enter the number of hours that represent how often the plugin scans for WebLogic installations.
    • Domain home path(s): Enter the file system path to scan (one-level deep) for domains, for example, /u01/data/.
    • Add another path: (Optional) Click to enter more file system search paths.
  3. Under Domain scan settings, view and verify the default settings:
    • WebLogic domain scan frequency (in hours): The number of hours WebLogic Management scans for WebLogic installations.
    • Domain home path(s): The file system scan paths.
  4. Click Save.

Using the API

Run the UpdateConfiguration operation to change WebLogic domain discovery interval and search paths settings for the service.
