Removing Software Sources from the Service

Remove a software source from OS Management Hub to make it unavailable to instances.

OS Management Hub can't remove a software source that's:
  • Attached to an instance, group, or lifecycle
  • Assigned to a profile
  • Used as the basis for a custom software source
  • To remove one or more software sources, follow these steps:
    1. Open the navigation menu and click Observability & Management. Under OS Management Hub, click Software sources.
    2. Under List scope, select the compartment that contains the software source you're interested in.
    3. Select the software sources to remove.
    4. From the Actions menu, click Remove software source.
    5. Confirm the deletion.
  • Use the oci os-management-hub software-source change-availability command and required parameters to change the availability of software sources in a tenancy. An Available software source is accessible but not yet added to the service. A Selected software source has been added to the service and can be used by instances.

Setting the availability to Available removes the software source and can no longer be attached to instances in the tenancy.
