Editing the Partition Key Attribute

Modify information such as business name, name, and data type of a partition key attribute.

• 1. On the details page of an attribute for a logical entity, click the Edit link that appears next to the attribute name.
  2. In the Edit Partition Key Attribute panel, make updates as required. You can modify the following details:
     • Business Name: Enter a new business name for the partition key attribute. The business name is updated only within the data catalog. That is, the name in the source isn't updated. If you want to delete the business name, leave the field empty.
     • Name: Change the harvested name in the data catalog. However, the name in the data source does not change. The name is updated only within the data catalog. That is, the name in the source isn't updated.
     • Data Type: Set a different data type for the attribute. The data type is updated only within the data catalog. That is, the data type in the source isn't updated.
  3. Click Save changes.
